This large Fritz Hansen D614 Super-Elliptical rosewood table on a solid aluminum shaker base was designed in Denmark by Arne Jacobsen, Bruno Mathsson, and Piet Hein in 1968. The manufacture date of this example is March 1970. It has the Fritz Hansen maker's mark, including Pie Hein's name stamped to the underside. 

The grain of the wood on the top is rich and sumptuous, with no obvious marks or blemishes. The chrome splayed legs and base also show little signs of wear & tear. All in all this is a fantastically designed Danish Modern piece.

All our furniture has been checked over, professionally restored where necessary & presented to you in the best condition possible. For future care, use good quality bees wax 4-5 times a year - as well as a regular buffing-up with a soft, dry cloth.
