Set of 4 Teak High-Back Dining Chairs by Benny Linden – Danish Modern Style

  • £595.00

A masterclass in ergonomic mid-century design. Designed by Benny Linden, these four chairs feature a striking high-back silhouette defined by slender vertical spindles. The solid Teak frames are sculpted with soft curves—there are no sharp edges here, only smooth, tactile joinery. The wood boasts a deep, warm amber glow that contrasts perfectly with the neutral oatmeal upholstery.

Function: Unlike many low-backed mid-century chairs, these are built for long dinners. The backrests are subtly bowed to cradle the spine, providing superior lumbar support. The wide seats offer generous comfort.

Provenance: Benny Linden Design was a key player in the "Global Danish" movement of the 1970s. These chairs represent Sustainable Quality—crafted from solid timber that has already lasted decades and is ready for decades more.

The Interior Stylist's Note: "High-back chairs are excellent for defining a dining space, especially in open-plan rooms where you need to create a visual 'zone.' These look stunning paired with a simple round pedestal table or a long rectangular refectory table. The neutral fabric is a blank canvas—keep it for a Scandi look, or recover in a bold velvet for high contrast."

Condition & Restoration: Excellent vintage condition. The solid teak frames are structurally rigid with no loose joints. The wood has been cleaned and oiled. The fabric appears clean and presentable—ready to use or easily recovered to suit your taste.
